Elephant & Castle’s 9th Annual North Ark Open’s Players Meeting - Apr 30th, 2021
North Ark Players Meeting
Elephant & Castle presents
The 9th Annual North Ark Open
Players’ Meeting
Welcome to the 9th North Ark Open! We’d like to start off by thanking Doug Bowen, owner of Elephant & Castle Fine Arms our Title Sponsor, as well as, a tour sponsor. I don’t think we could do what we do with out Doug’s continued support. If you are wanting to buy or sell guns or need ammo, head to Ozark and visit him at Elephant & Castle Fine Arms.
We also want to thank all of our sponsors for the Rock On Tour 2021: Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Cyclebar Springfield East, Patriot’s Gold & Silver, Fimco Steel, Discs Unlimited, Intuitive Body Works & Massage, and Dynamic Discs. As most of you know, without sponsors tournaments are tough to run. We are always looking for more sponsors. If you know of any leads contact us.
Everyone needs to check in at the concession stand. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you've already signed that waiver.
Speaking of COVID-19, please maintain social distancing before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to form three lines. A few players at a time will be allowed in to use their vouchers.
Further related to COVID-19, the state of Arkansas limits gatherings to 100 people or less. Since we have 100 players at the tournament, we must ask that no one brings a caddy. Also, any spectators we might have would be asked not to follow the players. This will help us stay within guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.
Round 1 tees off at 10. Scores for the tournament should be kept on the PDGA website, but we can have paper scorecards available if necessary. Player course and hole assignments will be posted Friday evening at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/50428. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is NAO. Please have one person only record the card scores to pdga.com. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. When round one is finished, everyone is on their own for lunch. Round 2 should start at 2, but will be based on receiving the last card after round 1. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com.
Rules for the courses and course map can be be found on FB: Russel Burns, Disc Golf Monkey, Ozarks Flying Disc Club, and Harrison Disc Golf Society. Unbranded CTP is hole 6b. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 7b. Women’s only CTP is Hole #13. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
