Dragon Ridge Players Meeting - May 26th, 2022
The 5th Annual Dragon Ridge Open
Players’ Meeting
Welcome to the 5th Dragon Ridge Open! I’d like to start off by thanking the City of Camdenton for their continued support, as well as, Travis Brock the new Park Director. It’s been a great partnership the last 5 years, and we look forward to many more!
As always, we’d like to thank our title sponsor: Missouri Common Ground Alliance (MCGA is our newest tour sponsor as well). We appreciate the new partnership.
Also, a big thank you to our tour sponsors: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms, Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Greazy Dyes, Patriots Gold & Silver, Intuitive Body Works & Massage, Discs Unlimited, Dynamic Discs, MVP Disc Sports, Swing Right Golf, & Missouri Common Ground Alliance.
Please note that this another very physically & mentally challenging course. We have had a lot of rain and this will make the course slick, so be careful out there. There will be water jugs throughout the course, but please bring your own snacks and hydration supplies.
Everyone needs to check in at the trailer. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you've already signed that waiver.
Speaking of COVID-19, please maintain social distancing at all times before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. Three people at a time will be allowed to check in. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to form three lines, as 6 people will be allowed in the trailer at any one time. Amateurs who have cashed must use their voucher or make arrangements to redeem before the end of the day.
Round 1 tees off at 9:00 a.m. Scores for the tournament need to be kept on the PDGA website. Player course and hole assignments will be posted after registration closes Friday night at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/59101. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is DRO. Please have one person only record the card scores to pdga.com. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. When round one is finished, lunch will be on your own. Round 2 should start at 2. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com.
Rules for the course are listed below. MVP-only CTP is hole 11. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 16. Unbranded CTP is hole 15. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
