North Ark Open Players Meeting - May 10th, 2023
Players’ Meeting
Welcome to the 11th North Ark Open! I have to start by giving a huge shout out to Matt Bell, Director of Explore Harrison. For twelve years our partnership has continued to produce one of the best events on the tour. Nearly every year the NAO fills up. This event has been a staple in raising and contributing money to the EDGE program as it is part of the Tournament Charity Program (TCP). Above all it is a beautiful/challenging course that that the North Ark College keeps in immaculate condition. We hope to continue each year “Exploring Harrison” as this tournament continues on! Thank you Matt!!
We also give a big thanks to our Tour Sponsors. Without them we couldn’t make the tours happen: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms, Patriots Gold & Silver, Innova Champion Discs, Dynamic Discs, Fossa Disc Golf, Prodigy Discs, Creator Designs, MVP/Axiom Discs, Millennium Golf Discs, Discmania, 8Up, Greazy Dyes, Discs Unlimited, Swing Right Golf, and Intuitive Body Works & Massage.
Everyone needs to check in at the concession stand or in the trailer if the weather is bad. Round 1 tees off at 10. Scores for the tournament should be kept on the PDGA website, but we can have paper scorecards available if necessary. Player course and hole assignments will be posted Friday evening at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/69074. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is NAO. Please have at least two people record the card scores to pdga.com. This will help reduce the possibility of errors. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. When round one is finished, everyone is on their own for lunch. Round 2 should start at 1, but will be based on receiving the last card after round 1. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com.
Rules for the courses are listed below. Unbranded CTP is hole 5. MVP-only CTP is hole 6b. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 7b. Prodigy-only CTP is hole 17. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
